Unleash your creativity at Paint Night! Join us for an evening of artistic expression as you paint, sip, and socialize with friends. Our friendly instructors will help you create your own masterpiece in a fun and relaxed atmosphere surrounded by inspiring artworks in our galleries.

All materials provided - canvas, acrylic paint and a beverage.
Cash bar and light refreshments available. 19+ event.

Station Gallery is a full-service accessible destination for events of all kinds. We offer:

- Fully equipped lounge room
- Ample in-gallery space to accommodate up to 150 people

Gallery rentals are available at the discretion of Station Gallery; availability is dependent upon scheduled exhibitions and events. Fill out a rental application and email it to art@stationgallery.ca to begin the rental process.

“You talkin’ to me?” – The Films & Techniques of Director Martin Scorsese

Enjoy learning about innovative film techniques to fully appreciate your favourite flicks by director Martin Scorsese. Meet an enthusiastic movie buff who has loved cinema since his dad took him to see Gary Cooper in High Noon; and meet a dedicated artist and art historian who names Scorsese as one of his favourite filmmakers. Drop by for this popular interactive session, and bring along some friends to double your film fun! And don’t worry if you don’t know Scorsese – Tim and Olex will introduce you! Please bring some non-perishable food donations for The Deacon’s Cupboard, Whitby’s food bank.

Still in Time | The Prints of Jacques Hnizdovsky – Wednesday, March 26, 7:00PM

As a paragon of woodcut printmakers, Jacques Hnizdovsky contributed an astonishing body of inventive and compelling imagery. The artist ignited a resurgence and enthusiasm around time-honoured printmaking technique. In this solo posthumous project, we follow an astounding trajectory of one artist’s personal passage through tone and form, style and content.

Never has the intersection of art and film been as pronounced as today. Join SG Curator, Olex Wlasenko, for a follow-up performance in an ever-expanding series exploring visual art and cinema. In his latest edition, Wlasenko observes the influence of moving images on still imagery and vice versa.

It’s about Time – Monday, April 14, 7:00PM

Art exists in time as well as space. Time implies change and movement; movement implies the passage of time. Artists have historically been mindful of temporality in their work, while contemporary artist take the concept further by incorporating time into their work as if it were an element of art. Join SG Curator, Olex Wlasenko in this one-hour presentation on how time figures in visual culture and beyond…

“Movie Magic” — Film Noir + ART with Tim WestheadWednesday, April 23, 7:00PM

Join movie buff and popular presenter Tim Westhead to find out what’s beyond the silver screen! Enjoy discovering new and re-discovering classic film noir, such as Double Indemnity and Out of the Past that explore the darker side, as well as investigating vivid examples of “Art Noir,” so you can make your love for film and art a more rewarding experience! Celebrate our 31st Annual biggest and most exciting event of the year!

More than just an event – Drawing for Art is a community exhibition featuring over 150 works by talented artists from our community, culminating in an exciting evening filled with refreshments and fun.

Ticket holders are guaranteed to take home one piece of artwork. Names will be drawn in a random order, and when yours is called, you can select one remaining piece of artwork to take home.

General Admission tickets include 1 draw for artwork and admission for 2 people.
Mingling tickets include admission for 1 person only and no draw.
